It’s Hunting Season

Sep 5, 2024 | Land Status

Hunting season has begun. September and October are two of the biggest hunting season months. When you are recreating in the forests during hunting season, it’s a good idea to make yourself more visible. Wear bright colors. Protect your dog by putting them in a bright collar or vest. Make noise. Whistle, sing or carry on a conversation as you walk to alert hunters to your presence. Be courteous. Once a hunter is aware of your presence, don’t make unnecessary noise to disturb
wildlife.
